
2020 Delhi riots: Court grants interim bail to Umar Khalid

Delhi court grants Umar Khalid 7-day bail for family event amid conspiracy case related to 2020 riots.
A Delhi court on Wednesday (December 18, 2024) granted seven days interim bail to former JNU student Umar Khalid, accused in the conspiracy case connected to February, 2020 riots, to attend a family event.
Additional sessions judge Sameer Bajpai granted him the reprieve for seven days to attend a family wedding. Khalid is an accused in the alleged larger conspiracy behind the 2020 northeast Delhi riots.
A detailed order is awaited.

The procedure of endoscopic removal of stone and blockage from the bile duct, followed by placement of Common Bile Duct (CBD) stent, widely practised in leading medical institutions and private hospitals, was performed for the first time at Government Thoothukudi Medical College and Hospital on a 10-year-old girl.
