Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra will be made available to cinephiles at Rs 75 on September 16. The film releases on September 9.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra releases on September 9 and cinephiles have been waiting with bated breath. While fans feel that the film might very well be a cinematic marvel, you can now watch Brahmastra at just Rs 75! Wondering how? Well, Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and cinemas across India will allow moviegoers to watch films at just Rs 75, on the occasion of National Cinema Day on September 16. About 4000 theatre chains are participating in the programme.

After a long wait, Ayan Mukerji directorial and Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra releases on September 9. Multiplex Association of India (MAI) and cinemas across India will allow cinephiles to watch films in theatres on National Cinema Day (September 16) at a price of Rs 75. Since Brahmastra releases around the same time, you can now watch the films at just Rs 75.

National Cinema Day, September 16, aims at celebrating the successful reopening of cinemas and is a ‘thank you’ to moviegoers. National Cinema Day is also an invitation to the cinephiles who haven’t made it back to movie theatres yet after the pandemic.

India has one of the largest film industries and has seen one of the sharpest recoveries in the film business after the pandemic. Quarter 1, FY 23 recorded impressive numbers among cinema operators. The quarter was marked by the release of the biggest domestic hits like KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and Hollywood hits such as Doctor Strange and Top Gun: Maverick.

United States recently adopted a similar approach on National Cinema Day. It coincides with National Cinema Day of the UK and will be observed on September 3. Theatre giants in the States like AMC and Cinemark are offering tickets priced as low as $3 (Rs 240). UK cinema hall ticket prices have been reduced to to £3 (Rs 300).
