A group of women organised a surprise birthday party for their PG cook who did not know her own birthday in a wholesome video which received the internet's appreciation.
A woman held a surprise birthday party for her PG’s cook along with her friends, and turned an ordinary day into a wholesome celebration to honour the woman who cooks for them every day with care and love.
The video was shared on Instagram by Priyakhi Konwar, who explained that the cook, an integral part of their daily lives, did not even know her own birthday. Wanting to celebrate her regardless of a date on the calendar, the women decided to create a special moment just for her.
In the caption, Priyakhi wrote, “She’s our PG cook, the one who fills our plates with love every single day. She didn’t even know when her birthday is so we decided to make one for her.”
She added that it began as a random day, and then turned into “the sweetest celebration of love, gratitude, and togetherness,” as the group decorated their PG, planned the surprise, and focused on one goal, which was seeing their cook smile.
In the video, the cook is seen walking into a room decorated with colourful streamers and balloons. As soon as she enters, the girls burst into applause, wishing her a happy birthday and singing for her. Initially surprised, she soon breaks into a wide smile that stays with her throughout the celebration. One of the women gently holds her hand and leads her to a table filled with snacks, gifts and a birthday cake.
The cook is then seen cutting the cake and lovingly feeding pieces to the girls, sharing the joy with those who planned the surprise. The video later shows her opening the gifts one by one - a suit set, a sweater, warm socks and a handbag. Her expressions, filled with happiness and disbelief, have struck a strong emotional note with viewers.

When we look at Iran through the prism of religion and see a Shia Islamic country, we negate its thousands of years of rich pre-Islamic Persian culture. A dive into the world of Zoroastrianism and Vedas shows us how Indians and Iranians have been sharing languages, Gods, sciences and a sacred fire for thousands of years.
