Will Pakistan stay in grey list? Global terror watchdog FATF to decide this week
India Today
Pakistan was put on the grey list by the Paris-based FATF in June 2018 and the global terror watchdog will be deciding it's fate this week.
Global terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) will be deciding Pakistan’s fate at the plenary session that began on Monday. Whether Pakistan stays on the ‘grey list’ is likely to be decided this week. Pakistan was put on the grey list by the Paris-based FATF in June 2018 and the country has since been struggling to come out of it. On the other hand, India has been pushing for the blacklisting of Pakistan. “Under the German Presidency of Dr Marcus Pleyer, delegates representing 205 members of the Global Network and observer organisations including the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations and the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units will take part in the virtual meeting of the FATF Plenary,” FATF said in a statement, according to a report in The Indian Express.More Related News
