The water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 124.75 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 7,319 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. The level in Vaigai dam was 53.51 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 623 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 3,886.37 mcft.
The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Thursday was (in mm): Mullaperiyar dam 112.4, Thekkadi 51.2, Gudalur 13.4, Uthamapalayam 12.4, Shanmuganadhi dam 5.4, Elumalai 2.4, Veerapandi 0.6 and Vaigai dam 0.4.
