Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 114.90 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 585 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 52.85 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 6 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,025.32 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Sunday was(in mm): Periyar 27.6, Thekkadi 21.4, Veerapandi 13.8, Uthamapalayam 4.6, Manjalar dam 4, Gudalur 2, Sothupparai 2, Shanmuganadhi 1.6, Peranai 1.6 and Vaigai dam 1.4.
