DMK MP Kanimozhi claims AIADMK serves as BJP’s 'B team' while addressing fuel concerns and advocating for justice in a murder case.
Thoothukudi MP M. K. Kanimozhi on Sunday said the AIADMK was acting as BJP’s ‘B’ team and the alliance was functioning under the leadership of BJP.
Addressing media persons at the airport here, she said that in view of the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, the Centre must ensure that there was no shortage of essential fuel such as petrol and diesel and take steps to meet the public needs.
On the DMK alliance, she said that most of the alliance arrangements had been finalised, and talks were under way with one or two parties, which too would be concluded soon.
Earlier, she met the bereaved parents of a 17-year-old girl, who was found murdered at her village under Kulathur police limits. During the interaction, the family requested assistance in securing employment for the victim’s elder sister.
The MP assured them that an arrangement would be made to provide her with a suitable job immediately after completion of her higher education. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin had assured that the government would stand by the family and ensure that the accused received the maximum punishment.
The police had acted in a way that provided a measure of mental relief to the affected family by arresting the accused. “With a firm resolve to ensure justice for the deceased girl, we will take all necessary steps to secure the maximum punishment for those involved in such heinous crimes. Stringent laws are already in place, and they must be enforced swiftly to ensure that justice is delivered to the victims at the earliest,” she said.
