Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 114.50 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 3 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 53.64 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 21 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 2,032.13 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Tuesday was: Andipatti 54, Kodaikanal 16.4, Shanmuganadhi dam 11.4, Mettupatti 9.6 and Vaigai dam 2.4.
