A group of pastors gathered in the Oval Office to pray with Donald Trump, seeking divine wisdom to guide him and asking that God fill his heart with strength and clarity during these challenging times.
US President Donald Trump invited a group of pastors from across the country to the White House, where they prayed with him in the Oval Office amid the ongoing war with Iran. Laying their hands on the president, the pastors sought divine guidance and wisdom for Trump during what they described as “challenging times,” while also praying for the protection of US armed forces.
A video released on Thursday shows several pastors surrounding the President, placing their hands on him as they prayed, while Trump stood at the centre of the group. The pastors prayed for his leadership, asking for wisdom and protection as he continues to carry out his duties as President.
The lead pastor, Tom Mullins, was seen saying, "We pray for wisdom from heaven to flood his heart, his mind, and the Lord. You will guide him in these challenging times that we're facing today. I pray for your grace and your protection over him."
"Pray for your grace and protection of our troops and all of our men and women serving in our armed forces, and Father, we just pray you'll continue to give our President the strength that he needs to lead our great nation as we come back to one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all," the prayer continued.
The prayer gathering came as the United States recently launched Operation Epic Fury against Iran, an action Washington said was aimed at thwarting Tehran’s attempt to develop nuclear weapons. The operation killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, among others, and damaged critical military infrastructure.
Iran has retaliated by targeting US bases across the Gulf, with the attacks continuing into the seventh day on Thursday.
