Visakhapatnam police launch ‘Nava Samaja Nirmanam’ to raise awareness on key issues among students
The city police have launched ‘Nava Samaja Nirmanam’, a programme aimed at creating awareness about several key issues among the students and youth. The programme began with participation of around 2,000 students from Andhra University, at AU Convention Centre on the Beach Road here on Saturday.
Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University G.C. Raja Sekhar and other officials were present during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bagchi stressed the need about creating awareness about growing cybercrimes, crime against women and girls, and the drug abuse. He took a pledge with the students against the usage of drugs.

The highlight of every edition of the Whitefield Art Collective is the Kala Car, an exhibit that showcases the creative and artistic prowess of art students. Over the years, this clever play on words has titled vehicles that have either been rescued from the scrap yard or sponsored or auctioned or all of the above.
