Vikrant Rona to get a sequel? Kichcha Sudeep has this to say

In a recent interview, Kichcha Sudeep said that Vikrant Rona will get a sequel only if the director comes up with a good script. Sudeep added that he will not do it just for “some money”.
Kichcha Sudeep’s latest movie Vikrant Rona opened in cinemas on Thursday, July 28, much to the delight of fans. The biggie received positive reviews, with most critics praising the mass hero’s performance. It also received a good response at the box office, collecting Rs 40 crore on its first day. Sudeep has now commented on the possibility of transforming Vikrant Rona into a franchise.
Kichcha Sudeep, widely regarded as one of Kannada cinema’s biggest names, told Pinkvilla that he doesn't want to make a sequel to Vikrant Rona just “for some money”. Kannada cinema’s Abhinaya Chakravarthy added that Vikrant Rona 2 will happen only if director Anup Bhandari comes up with an “extraordinary idea that excites me”.

“A franchise is not a one-way thing. The audience has to like the first part. I can't prematurely discuss part two. But more importantly, I am not someone who will be excited about the part two if part one works. I would want to move on to another film and not oscillate around the same plot. If part two is decided before the success of the first part, I will be excited by the idea,” added the actor.
Vikrant Rona is a fantasy adventure thriller that features Kichcha Sudeep in the role of a hunter. It is directed by Anup Bhandari, who rose to fame with RangiTaranga (2015). The film’s cast includes Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, and Ravishankar Gowda, among others. Jacqueline Fernandez makes a guest appearance in Vikrant Rona as Racquel D'Coasta / Gadang Rakkamma. The Bollywood actress also set the screen on fire with the Ra Ra Rakkamma dance number..
Sudeep, meanwhile, will be seen as Bigg Boss Kannada OTT host. The reality show will premiere on Voot on August 6. He will also be seen in a key role in the Upendra-led period gangster drama Kabzaa.
