Video: Morning surprise for Mumbai as Macron's jog steals the spotlight
India Today
Mumbai's morning joggers witnessed an unusual sight on Tuesday. Rarely would they have seen the president of a country jogging on the streets. The French President was spotted at Mumbai's iconic Marine Drive ahead of hectic diplomatic meetings.
Mumbai's early risers, sipping some cutting chai and biting into vada pav, witnessed an unusual sight on Tuesday morning. Amid the familiar rush of morning walkers at the iconic Marine Drive was the French President, who arrived in India last night with his wife for a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dressed casually in a navy blue T-shirt and black sunglasses (no, not the blue one), Emmanuel Macron, known for his fitness routine, stepped out for an early-morning jog with his security team at the city's iconic promenade. A video of Macron jogging as his security team struggles to keep up with him has gone viral on social media.
There was no media glare, nor was there a rush of locals trying to get a selfie with the French President as he took time off for a refreshing moment before a day packed with hectic diplomatic meetings.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
