In a shocking incident in Agra, a 38-year-old man was recently operated on by doctors after a one-litre plastic bottle was found lodged in his rectum.
According to health officials, the man had been suffering from severe pain for nearly 36 hours before his family brought him to a private hospital.
As part of the patient's examination, doctors ordered an X-ray, which eventually revealed that a one-litre plastic bottle was stuck inside his rectum. Following the diagnosis, he was immediately admitted to the emergency ward for treatment.
Subsequently, a team of surgeons carried out an operation and succeeded in removing the bottle after about one hour and ten minutes of surgery.
Senior surgeon Dr. Sunil Sharma said the case was highly sensitive as the bottle had to be removed without causing serious damage to the intestine or rectum.
The patient was kept under observation after the procedure. Doctors also performed a sigmoidoscopy to check for signs of any internal injury or infection.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
