A controversy has erupted in the Bhojpuri entertainment industry after a video surfaced showing singer Dhananjay Sharma lifting a female dancer on stage and throwing her into the crowd during a live performance.
The viral video has triggered widespread outrage on social media, with many users criticising the singer for his behaviour.
In the clip, Sharma is seen dragging a dancer who was present on stage towards the audience. During the commotion, the dancer falls on the stage and then tries to run away. However, Sharma does not stop there. He picks her up from behind, carries her in his arms and throws her into the crowd. People present at the venue then lift the dancer and place her on the ground, after which she returns to the stage.
The anchor hosting the event condemned the act and told Sharma that such behaviour was wrong, adding that the person involved was a woman and should not have been treated that way. The incident has sparked strong reactions online.
Meanwhile, Sharma has responded to the controversy and accused the dancer of misbehaving with him. In a video posted on Instagram, he said people do not know the full truth about what happened on stage.
According to Sharma, the performance required him to collide with the dancers during the song, but the women did not follow the choreography and instead grabbed him.

This moment comes days after the Supreme Court allowed Harish Rana to die with dignity – a historic first court-ordered case of passive euthanasia in India. The court acknowledged the medical opinion that Rana will never recover and that the tubes that feed him and keep him alive are only prolonging his pain.
