Varun Dhawan reveals he suffered a tailbone fracture while shooting an intense battle sequence for Border 2. The actor says the injury, though painful, made his journey on the film unforgettable.
Actor Varun Dhawan on Thursday spoke about the challenges of shooting Border 2. The actor, who plays Colonel Hoshiar Singh Dahiya in the film, revealed that he suffered a serious injury while filming a battle sequence.
Dhawan said he injured his tailbone and sustained a hairline fracture during the shoot. Although he is still recuperating, he added that the hardships made his journey on Border 2 memorable.
"The worst injury I ever got on Border 2. I smashed my tailbone into a rock when I tried to avoid banging into the camera," he wrote in the caption of his post. He added, "It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. I sustained a hairline fracture on the tailbone, which I feel I’m still healing from. Thankful to my team for helping me continue that day. I could barely walk, but we kept going. Grateful for the journey (sic)."

Varun plays a pivotal role in Border 2, alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. He is joined by Medha Rana, who essays the role of Dhanvanti Devi, Hoshiar Singh’s wife.
Despite facing heavy trolling before the film’s release, the actor was later appreciated for his performance. Addressing the criticism earlier, Varun had asked audiences to wait and judge his hard work on the big screen.
