Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that all vacant teaching and non-teaching positions in higher education institutes (HEIs), Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) will be filled as soon as possible.

Pradhan, who is also the minister of skill development, stated that both ministries are committed to filling all vacancies in their departments within the next 1.5 years.
“All vacant teaching and non-teaching posts in HEIs, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and other departments will be filled up at the earliest," the education minister said in a tweet.
“Taking forward PM @narendramodi ji’s decision to recruit 10 lakh people in all govt. departments and ministries in mission-mode, @EduMinOfIndia and @MSDESkillIndia is committed to fill-up all vacancies in their respective departments in the next 1.5 years," he said.
According to his office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed various government departments and ministries to recruit 10 lakh employees on a "mission mode" during the next year and a half.
According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Modi's directive came after a review of the state of human resources in all government agencies and ministries.
The government's decision comes in the wake of repeated criticism from the opposition on the subject of unemployment. A considerable number of empty positions in various government sectors have frequently been highlighted.
