UP schools and colleges are set to reopen from February 7, Monday, as per Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
UP schools and colleges are set to reopen rom February 7, Monday, in view of the decreasing Covid-19 cases in the state. Schools in UP will reopen for Classes 9 to 12. Detailed orders from the state government regarding Covid-19 guidelines are still awaited.
"On January 17, active cases in the state were 1,01,600 and now it has come to 41,000 and within a week it may become zero,” the CM said to officials on Friday at an administrative meeting.
With the number of Covid-19 cases declining, the states are gradually starting to reopen schools and colleges.
Delhi schools are reopening from February 7, while West Bengal reopened them from February 3. Schools in Odisha, Telangana, Haryana, Maharashtra and MP have also reopened.
The education ministry has also issued its revised guidelines on schools and colleges reopening and has asked all states and UTs to comply with them.
