A maulana in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl who later gave birth to a baby girl at her home. The accused, Maulana Islam, a neighbour of the girl, allegedly threatened and sexually assaulted her, as a result of which she became pregnant.
Following a complaint by her family, a case was registered, and the accused was arrested.
The incident took place in a village in the Pilkhuwa Kotwali area. When the 14-year-old girl experienced sudden severe stomach pain on February 14, her family took her to a private hospital, where doctors informed them that she was pregnant.
The family brought her back home, and shortly afterwards, she delivered a baby girl at the house.
However, she was unaware of the pregnancy and did not inform her family about the matter. On the night of February 14, around 8 pm, she complained of severe abdominal pain and was taken to a private hospital, where doctors confirmed the pregnancy.
She later gave birth at home the same day. A complaint was lodged at Pilkhuwa Kotwali, after which an FIR was registered and the accused was arrested. The case pertains to a village in the Pilkhuwa Kotwali area.
