
Universities in Delhi to impose stricter guidelines on campus to fight Covid-19

The higher educational institutes in Delhi are planning to introduce stricter Covid-19 safety guidelines on campus to fight the deadly virus.
Several higher educational institutes in the national capital region such as Delhi University (DU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have plans of imposing stricter guidelines on campus to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus among the students and staff. While the DU issued guidelines on Saturday advising students to stay at home or their hostels and avoid physical presence for their academic work unless "very essential", the JNU on Sunday made it mandatory for all to wear masks at all times inside the campus. Apart from the above-mentioned guidelines issued by the administration, the Delhi University has also cancelled booking of conference centre and seminar hall for any functions till further notice for the safety of the staff and students.
