The two institutions will not only help the local workers but also enable the people displaced by mines, youths and women to become self-sufficient after undergoing training, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday inaugurated two Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Odisha’s Angul district.
Pradhan dedicated the KVs, built with funds from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), in the Jagannath and Subhadra areas under Talcher sub-division. He also performed ‘Bhumi Pujan’ for the construction of a permanent building of KV in Jagannath area.
The two institutions will not only help the local workers but also enable the people displaced by mines, youths and women to become self-sufficient after undergoing training, the minister said.
Similarly, MCL is responsible for the improvement of Dera Colliery High School in Talcher.
In the coming days, plans are being made to develop the education infrastructure. Also, the ITI in Talcher will be transformed into a large educational institution. The MCL Vocational Training Center will be developed at the Skill Development Center, stated Pradhan.
The Modi government has accelerated the production of coal and railway infrastructure in Talcher. The Talcher Fertilizer Factory is being rehabilitated at a cost of Rs 13,000 crore under the Modi government. NTPC's thermal power plant in Talcher is also expected to be reopened soon.
Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Talcher is moving towards prosperity. In the coming days, there will be a lot of development work related to the mining and rail sectors.
