
Under-construction bridge collapses on Uttarakhand Highway; 5 rescued, 4 people feared trapped

An under construction bridge collapsed on Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand. As many as five people were rescued and four are still feared trapped in the debris.
An under construction bridge collapsed near Narkota on Badrinath Highway in Uttarakhand on Wednesday, July 20. At least three to four people are still feared trapped in the debris.
About ten people were engaged in the construction work on the bridge when a part of the under construction bridge suddenly collapsed. Five people have been rescued.
Teams of disaster management, police and administration are carrying out the rescue operation.
The bridge was being constructed under the government’s allweather road project.
The rescue operation is underway.
