Twitter has launched state-specific SOS pages which people can follow to get help with medical resources with real-time updates in their respective states. It is currently available for six states, including Delhi, Punjab, Kerala, and more.
Twitter has launched state-specific Covid-19 resource pages that will show the latest tweets from people looking for medical assistance like ICU beds in hospitals, oxygen cylinders, or a specific medicine, as well as tweets from people offering help in a particular state. In a blog post, the company announced that it currently has state-specific pages available for Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab. The platform says that these states are hardest hit by the second wave of coronavirus.
Reddit is exploring biometric verification methods such as Face ID and Touch ID to ensure users are real humans, not bots, while pledging to maintain the platform's tradition of anonymity.
