Trump calls Republican Senator 'loser' over ICE killings remarks, he fires back

Donald Trump responded sharply to calls for the Homeland Security Secretary's resignation and also took a pointed swipe at Republican Senator Thom Tillis.
After two US citizens were fatally shot by federal immigration agents, demands for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign intensified even within the Republican camp, triggering a fresh political storm in the United States. However, President Donald Trump fiercely defended her, attacking Republican critics Thom Tillis and Lisa Murkowski, calling them "losers", with Tillis firing back sarcastically at the President.
Trump targeted Republican Senators Thom Tillis and Lisa Murkowski, calling them “losers” for urging Noem to step down after a Border Patrol agent shot and killed a man during an enforcement operation. “They’re terrible senators. One is gone, and the other should be gone,” Trump said in an interview with ABC News.
Tillis, a senator from North Carolina, hit back at the president’s remarks with a sarcastic retort, suggesting that Trump’s criticism only bolstered his credentials.
When asked about being labelled a “loser,” Tillis said, “I am thrilled about that. That makes me qualified to be homeland security secretary and senior adviser to the president”.

Trump later doubled down, criticising Tillis both at public events and on social media. He accused the senator of being disloyal to the “America First” agenda and claimed Tillis had lost touch with Republican grassroots voters, pointing broadly to the lawmaker’s past positions on immigration and bipartisan legislation without citing specific votes.

The profiles of at least three of China's leading nuclear, missile and radar experts were scrubbed from the website of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the country's most prestigious academic body. This comes as a series of purges under Premier Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign have decimated the upper echelons of China's military and scientific community.

The aircraft had also been used by senior Iranian officials and military figures for both domestic and international travel, and for coordinating with allied countries, the Israeli military said. Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport has resumed flight operations after a temporary suspension of about seven hours caused by a drone strike near a fuel tank facility.

When we look at Iran through the prism of religion and see a Shia Islamic country, we negate its thousands of years of rich pre-Islamic Persian culture. A dive into the world of Zoroastrianism and Vedas shows us how Indians and Iranians have been sharing languages, Gods, sciences and a sacred fire for thousands of years.
