Online chatting platforms have replaced physical manifestos of 'lone wolfs' who carry out mass shootings. India Today's Infographic tracks three recent shooters in the US and the online evidence they left behind.

The Unabomber in 1995 published a 35,000-word essay called 'Industrial Society and Its Future.' The manifesto was widely read in the aftermath of his arrest, when he was convicted of being a serial mail bomber, who had terrorized America for almost 20 years.

Almost 20 years later, online chat forums and meme sharing platforms are the new-age mediums for shooters to share their thoughts with the world. In light of consecutive recent shootings, India Today delves into the online footprint left behind by three gunmen: Salvador Ramos, who shot and killed 22 at an elementary school in Texas, Payton S. Gendron, who shot a grocery story in Buffalo, and Raymond Spencer, who had shot and injured four people from his apartment in New York.

Two things the three had in common was a) they were all gunmen and b) they had left evidence of their upcoming motives on the Internet before they went on a rampage.
