Three people have been taken into police custody in connection with the murder of SPDI activist Subair in Kerala’s Palakkad.
Vijay Sakhare, Additional Director General of Police, Kerala, has said that Special Investigation Teams have been formed to probe the murders of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) activist and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) partyman that took place last week in Palakkad.
A Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) worker, Subair, was murdered in Palakkad in Kerala on Friday. A Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS) worker, Sreenivasan, was murdered in broad daylight on Saturday, April 16, which reportedly happened in retaliation for the murder on Friday.
“No doubt that both the murders were planned. There was a conspiracy behind both the murders. Those behind the murders are more important than the people who were physically attacked,” said ADGP Vijay Sakhare, who is the lead investigating officer for both the murders.
“We have a fairly very good idea who the accused persons are. As part of a special investigation team, five separate teams have been formed. The suspects will be caught soon. This is the development in the Subair murder case.”
In regards to the murder of RSS memeber Sreenivasan, the ADGP said, “We have seen a video footage and there are some suspects. Four teams have been formed to trace those suspects. We will catch the suspects soon and we can understand the details. We are trying to identify them soon and we will arrest them soon.”
