There is a growing clamour in Afghanistan to impose sanctions on Pakistan, which is believed to have provided tacit support to the Taliban in launching a renewed offensive against the democratically elected government.

There is a growing clamour in Afghanistan to impose sanctions on Pakistan. As Pakistan-backed Taliban rapidly advance through Afghanistan and one provincial capital after the other falls, there is alarm that the dark days of the Taliban will return to Afghanistan. There will be no permanent ceasefire in Afghanistan without sanctions against Pakistan.Pakistan's 'forever war' must end.#EndProxyWar #SanctionPakistan Already there are reports of the Taliban executing Afghan national Army soldiers in cold blood after they have surrendered, as well as reports of women being killed or captured and forcibly married off to Taliban fighters.
