While the colleges in Tamil Nadu have been reopened for physical classes, 1st, 3rd, and 5th, semester exams will be held online.
Tamil Nadu colleges have been reopened and students can attend classes and participate in practical exams, said Ponmudi, Higher Education Minister, Tamil Nadu. However, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th, semester exams will be held online.
Tamil Nadu Government has decided to open schools and colleges for all students from Classes 1 to 12 in the state from February 1.
The state education department has allowed schools and colleges to conduct physical classes by following Covid protocols. However, the ban on playschools and nursery schools will continue.
As part of easing restrictions further, the state government has decided to discontinue Sunday lockdown, which was imposed amid a surge in the Covid cases. The state has also decided to lift the night curfew.
