
Suriya's Karuppu not releasing on April 10, director RJ Balaji to share update soon

Director and actor RJ Balaji has clarified that the much-anticipated film Karuppu, starring Suriya, will not release on April 10. The filmmaker revealed that an official release date will be confirmed in ten days.
Director and actor RJ Balaji has addressed recent rumours about the release date of the upcoming film Karuppu, starring Suriya. Amid speculation of an April 10 release, Balaji clarified on social media that no such date is planned and that an official update will be shared soon.
Earlier, it was reported that Karuppu would be released only after the completion of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. The election schedule is yet to be out.
Balaji, who has been working on Karuppu for nearly two years, acknowledged fans’ disappointment. Sharing a video, he said, "Now, back to the grind, we are resuming work on Karuppu. I understand the disappointment the fans, especially Suriya's fans have, as this statement has been said multiple times before. Of course, it has been a long wait, for me too. I have been working on this for almost two years."
Addressing rumours about an April 10 release, he said, "Your wait will be worth it. I am also not in the mindset to take more time for this. Within a week or 10 days, we will meet you with the news of the film's release date. I will also say that the film is not releasing on April 10."

RJ Balaji briefly addressed the reports of a fallout between him and the producer. "There are a lot of rumours that claim that the producer has had a fallout with the director, or the music director, or even another producer. I understand the frustration of the wait. Trust me everyone will like this film."
