Board exams 2022: On Tuesday, February 22, the Supreme Court agreed to hear the plea seeking cancellation of physical exams for CBSE, CISCE, and other state board examinations. A bench led by Justice AM Khanwilkar directed that an advanced copy of the petition be served on the CBSE and other concerned respondents in the case.
Earlier, students have approached the apex court seeking intervention against the board exams which are scheduled to be conducted by CBDER, CISCE, NIOS, and other state boards.

Advocate Prashant Padmanabhan said, "This is regarding Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Physical examination should not be held due to the pandemic, " as reported by PTI.
As per Live Law, Advocate Prashant Padmanabhan's petition reads, "In most of the States during the lockdown period of June - December 2020, no classes were provided to students. Almost 98% of colleges/schools of all the states had not conducted any online class for students in that period.]," as reported by PTI.
"Let the matter go before a bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar," the bench said.
It should also be noted that it was Justice AM Khanwilkar's bench that passed a ruling on the board exams in 2021.
