Director Pa Ranjith's Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, which was released in theatres in August, has been receiving positive reviews from critics and audience alike. Recently, Superstar Rajinikanth watched the film at his home and was in awe of it. He personally called Pa Ranjith and appreciated him and his team. Rajinikanth called Natchathiram Nagargiradhu Pa Ranjith's best work.

Natchathiram Nagargiradhu was released in theatres on August 31. Anurag Kashyap watched the uncensored version of the film and appreciated him.

Recently, Rajinikanth watched Natchathiram Nagargiradhu at a private screening and was bowled over by it. He appreciated Pa Ranjith and called the film his best creation so far. Rajinikanth appreciated every aspect of Natchathiram Nagargiradhu.

Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is a social commentary on love,caste politics and honour killing. Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram and Kalaiyarasan play lead roles in the film. Sindhuja Viji, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Charles Vinoth, Sherin Celin Mathew and Lizzie Antony were seen in pivotal roles. Tenma has composed the music for this film.
