
Students write to CJI against conduction of Class 12 board exams in offline mode

Nearly 300 students have written a letter to the CJI, urging him to intervene in the conduction of Class 12 board exams in offline mode.
Speaking out against the decision of the central government, around 300 students of Class XII on Tuesday sent a letter petition to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana to quash the decision of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct physical examination amid the Covid-19 pandemic. While asking for the cancellation of offline exams for Class 12 students in the middle of a pandemic, the students asked the top court to direct the Central government to provide an alternative assessment scheme for the students. The dates and the format of the CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 will most likely be announced at the beginning of June by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal after the suggestions of the states are taken into consideration.
