The government of Jharkhand has decided to promote the students of classes 1 to 8 to their higher grade without the conduction of exams this year.
The government of Jharkhand has recently issued an order stating that all the school students up to class 8 in the state will be promoted without the conduction of annual exams this year, in view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The HRD department of Jharkhand has issued a notification regarding the same to all the government schools in the state. All the students up to class 8 will have to be passed this year without the conduction of examinations. Around 40 to 45 lakh students have been enrolled up to class 8 in Jharkhand schools this year, who will be promoted to their higher class without the conduction of exams. The director said that some ways will be evolved for the assessment of the students and their learning level.
