We had previously reported that Silambarasan is teaming up with director Ramkumar Balakrishnan for his 49th film. Ramkumar made his debut last year with the hit film Parking. The new film, tentatively titled STR 49, was announced in February this year. It’s now known that Sai Abhyankkar has been roped in as the film’s music composer.
Silambarasan took to social media to share pictures of him with the young music director, with which he also shared his Tamil New Year wishes.
The new film will be produced by Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures, who is backing Dhanush’s Idly Kadai and Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi. More details on the cast and crew of the film are yet to be revealed.

On the other hand, Sai, who rose to fame with the singles ‘Katchi Sera’ and ‘Aasa Kooda’, has films like Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s Benz, Suriya - RJ Balaji’s Suriya 45 and Pradeep Ranganathan’s PR 04. He’s also speculated to be the composer of Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film AA22xA6.
