Organised every year by Odanadi Seva Samsthe, an NGO working for the rescue and rehabilitation of trafficked and sexually exploited women and children, ‘Yoga Stops Traffick’ programme seeks to use yoga as a humanitarian tool to build a movement against human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Chaudhary extended her support to organisations like Odanadi Seva Samsthe and said programmes like ‘Yoga Stops Traffick’ should help reiterate the society’s commitment to prevent trafficking of girls and women.
On the occasion, Ms. Chaudhary also recalled the commitment of the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysuru to women’s education, equality, respect and leadership.
She also recalled the measures taken by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the empowerment of women.
Odanadi Seva Samsthe’s founders Stanley and Parashuram also participated in the programme.
