India opener Mayank Agarwal on Sunday said that he had conversations with head coach Rahul Dravid on how to stick to one's plans and be patient while playing on South African pitches.

KL Rahul scored 122 not out and India reached 272/3 at stumps to lay a strong foundation on the opening day of the first Test against South Africa in Centurion on Sunday. His opening partner Agarwal contributed 60 while Ajinkya Rahane, who was struggling for form, also returned unconquered on 40.
