New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr scripted history by becoming the fastest cricketer from a full-member nation to complete the double of 1,000-plus runs and 100-plus wickets in Women’s T20Is. The 25-year-old reached the milestone in her 94th match during the second T20I against South Africa on Tuesday, March 17, at Seddon Park.
Overall, across both men’s and women’s cricket, Hong Kong Women’s Kary Chan remains the fastest to the landmark, achieving it in 74 innings. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is second, having done so in 84 innings.

Among players from full-member nations, Deepti Sharma, Nida Dar, Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, and Hayley Matthews are also part of the elite list. For New Zealand, Kerr became the third player after Devine and men’s captain Mitchell Santner to achieve the feat.
Kerr also became only the second White Ferns bowler after Devine to claim 100 wickets in Women’s T20Is. Against South Africa, she returned figures of 4-0-29-2, dismissing openers Sune Luus and Tazmin Brits.
