Sony has launched a new Xperia smartphone that promises to bring revolutionary new imaging technology for content creators. Named Xperia Pro-I, the new phone from the house of Sony comes as the world’s first to include a 1.0-type Exmor RS image sensor with phase detection AF (autofocus) on its camera setup.
With this large, 1-inch camera sensor, Sony promises to provide “outstanding low light performance, high dynamic range, and beautiful bokeh” on the Xperia phone. This is also the reason for the device's name - Xperia Pro-I, wherein the I stands for Imaging.
