Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram to share a throwback photo from her school days on International Day of Education (January 24). The actress also penned a note on how the pandemic has affected kids and their education.

Shilpa Shetty raised a very important issue on International Day of Education (January 24). Sharing a throwback photo of herself from her school days, the actress wrote how kids these days are missing out on having a wholesome education due to the pandemic. She wrote that we need to take steps so that neither their safety nor education is compromised.

Shilpa Shetty often showers love on her family on Instagram. On International Day of Education, January 24, she shared an old picture of herself posing with her school friends and wrote that kids aren’t getting all-rounded education in the times of the pandemic. She also called resolving the isse ‘the need of the hour’.

Shilpa wrote, “My heart goes out to all the kids around the globe who have been severely affected by the pandemic. They can't interact with friends, can't have a wholesome all-rounded (physical) education; but this is the need of the hour. While we can’t blatantly expose them to the virus; we need to find ways to make it up to them. We need to take baby steps.”

She added, “This World Education Day, let’s come together to ensure that not just our kids, but also kids from all walks of life can exercise their right to education without compromising on their safety. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra got married on November 22, 2009. They have two kids. Their first child, son Viaan, was born in 2012. The couple welcomed their daughter Samisha through surrogacy in February 2020.
