Sherlyn Chopra gets anticipatory bail in obscenity case, will have to visit Cyber Cell

Sherlyn Chopra has been granted anticipatory bail in the obscenity case by the Bombay High Court. However, she will have to visit the Cyber Cell when required.

The Bombay High Court has granted anticipatory bail to actress Sherlyn Chopra. The actress had approached the Bombay HC after an FIR was registered against her at the Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police under various sections of the Indecent Representation of Women Act and Information Technology Act. The High Court has also directed Sherlyn Chopra to be present before the Investigating Officer on March 15, 16, and 17, and after that as and when required. If Chopra is arrested in the case, she will have to be released on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 25,000 and one or two securities. The Mumbai sessions court had rejected her plea before Sherlyn Chopra approached the High Court.
