Shanaya Kapoor opens up on her Bollywood debut Bedhadak, calls it 'first step towards long career'

Shanaya Kapoor has opened up about her Bollywood debut. The star kid will be seen in Bedhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan.

Sanjay Kapoor's daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is gearing up for her Bollywood debut. The star kid will be entering the world of showbiz with Karan Johar's Bedhadak. Shanaya will be seen alongside Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani in Bedhadak, which is going to be directed by Shashank Khaitan. Ahead of the film's release, Shanaya opened up about her Bollywood debut at length.

In an interview with Zoom TV, Shanaya Kapoor said she is both nervous and excited about her Bollywood debut. "Nervous because it’s important that I do the best job and because it isn’t just a first film, it’s the first step towards, hopefully, a long and varied career. And excited because I’m finally a step closer towards realising a dream I’ve had since childhood. It’s a mix of all kinds of emotions. Gurfateh, Lakshya, and I have prepped a lot for it, and it’s a very special film for the whole Bedhadak team. It’s very close to my heart! I’m extremely grateful to have gotten a film like Bedhadak," the star kid said.

The actress further added that she wants her performance to make people feel that she earned this opportunity and didn't waste it or take it for granted. "I’ve worked very hard and I will continue to - it’s not even something I want to keep repeating because that is the job - you’re meant to work hard, and I have. I hope people recognise that when they see my work," added Shanaya.

Prior to her acting debut on the big screen, Shanaya Kapoor recently featured in Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives season 2. The reality series stars Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, Bhavna Pandey and Seema Sajdeh.
