With behind-the-scenes video clips of the actor preparing for his roles and dialogues delivered in his deep, distinctive voice, the over one-minute teaser released a few days ago has heightened expectations about the film. The peek into the docufilm has voices of actors Nassar and Rohini Molleti highlighting the actor’s dedication and unique physical traits that he skilfully used in his performances. Hasif Abida Hakeem, who has helmed the docufilm, said, “I researched on the actor for eight years and collected rare footage to bring the unseen part of Raghuvaran to light. It will be a treat to his fans and aspiring actors to watch his larger-than-life-persona and his passion for craft.”

The film would depict his journey as an actor, how he prepared before his powerful performances, his obsession with method acting and his personal battles. His intense performances and artistic choices took a toll on his health and there was not much awareness about it then, said Mr. Hakeem who is known for his still photography in the Malayalam film industry.

Many other celebrities share the legendary actor’s story in the film to be released shortly. There are plans for an exclusive show for fans. “With the teaser already enjoying a wide reception, we are looking at multiple options for OTT release. There is a possibility for theatre release too,” he said.
