Delhi Police have arrested a self-styled tantrik for allegedly poisoning three people to death, whose bodies were found inside a parked car in the Peeragarhi area of the city on Sunday.
Police said Kamruddin alias “Baba”, a resident of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, prepared poison-laced laddoos and accompanied the victims, Randhir (76), Naresh Singh (47) and Laxmi Devi (40), in the car.
During the journey, he allegedly served them liquor, cold drinks and the poisoned sweets. Once they became unconscious, he fled with the cash and valuables, abandoning the vehicle.
According to the police, she operated so-called tantrik centres in Loni and Firozabad and lured victims with promises of “Dhanvarsha” — a ritual claiming to bring sudden financial windfalls.
The victims were found lying unconscious inside the car parked on the Peeragarhi flyover in Outer Delhi. All three were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Liquor bottles, cold drink bottles, empty glasses, mobile phones, cash, helmets, jackets, Aadhaar cards and other personal belongings were recovered from the vehicle.

India on Monday said it has not held bilateral talks with the United States on deploying naval vessels to secure merchant shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The clarification came after US President Donald Trump urged countries to send warships to keep the strategic waterway open amid tensions with Iran.
