Salman Khan wonders why Hindi movies don't work in South, says, 'Their films are doing so well here'

During a recent media interaction, Salman Khan spoke about South movies doing well in Bollywood. The actor wondered why Hindi movies don't work down South.

On Monday, Salman Khan interacted with the media after a long time. During a media interaction, the Bollywood superstar opened up about working with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. The Dabangg actor not just heaped praise on Chiranjeevi, but he also lauded Ram Charan's work in his latest film, RRR. Salman also spoke about South movies doing well in Bollywood. The superstar wondered why Hindi films don't work down South.

Opening up about working with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi, Salman said, "It has been a wonderful experience working with him. I have known Chiru Garu for the longest time. He has also been a friend."

The superstar further heaped praise on Ram Charan as he added, "His son (Ram Charan) is also a friend. He has done such a fantastic job in RRR. I just wished him his birthday and on the success of his film. I am very proud of him. It feels so good that he is doing so well." Though Salman is happy about the success of RRR, the superstar has a concern. "But I wonder why our films are not doing so well in the south. Their films are doing so well here," mentioned Salman.

On the movie front, Salman Khan was last seen in Antim: The Final Truth with his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. Next, the actor will be seen with Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3. The superstar also has Godfather with Telugu actor Chiranjeevi. Besides these movies, Salman has a special appearance in Siddharth Anand's Pathaan featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
