Russia has called for a return to the principle of "peaceful co-existence" with the US like during the Cold War, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
Russia and the United States should return to the principle of "peaceful co-existence" like during the Cold War, the Interfax news agency cited the Russian foreign ministry as saying on Tuesday.
The foreign ministry added that it was open to honest and mutually respectful dialogue with the United States and that hope remained that normalcy in relations between the two countries could be restored, Interfax reported.

If true, the deployment will give Britain the capability to launch strikes on Iran in case the regional conflict escalates drastically. Earlier, on Friday, the British government had authorised the US military to use military bases in Britain to carry out strikes on Iranian missile sites that are attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
