Realme 9 Pro with 120Hz display, Snapdragon 695 launched, prices start at Rs 17,999

Realme 9 Pro is the vanilla phone in the series with support for 5G, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, and a display with 120Hz refresh rate.
Realme has launched the 9 Pro series in India with the launch of two phones. The Realme 9 Pro Plus is the most expensive one in the series with some top-end features, while the Realme 9 Pro is the successor to the Realme 8 Pro with better specifications. The Realme 9 Pro focuses on mid-end specifications and brings another 5G phone to add to the already crowded market available to customers.
The Realme 9 Pro will appeal to the masses more than the Pro Plus version and it cements the brand position further in the mid-range. Much like the Pro Plus version, the Realme 9 Pro comes with a colour-shift design wherein the phone’s Sunrise Blue colour changes from a blue shade to red when sunlight falls on it.
Realme’s number series has been important for the brand, and customers have loved it, at least according to the figures that Realme India boss Madhav Sheth revealed at the launch event. He said Realme's number series now has 40 million users worldwide. The next strategy for the number series is to enhance the design and camera on future phones.
The Realme 9 Pro comes at a price of Rs 17,999 for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and Rs 20,999 for the 8GB, 128GB variant. It comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Green, and Sunrise Blue colours, as well. The first sale is on February 23 from Flipkart, Realme’s online store, and retail outlets. You get a flat discount of Rs 2,000 on using an HDFC Bank credit card, debit card, or EMI facility.
The Realme 9 Pro comes with a higher refresh rate than what the 9 Pro Plus has, but it uses an LCD instead. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Realme said the phone comes with Liquid Cooling, which is going to be useful when playing games. The phone comes with Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0, which means you get all the latest Android features on the phone. Photography enthusiasts will be happy to see a 64-megapixel main sensor, a macro camera, and a super wide-angle camera on the back of the Realme 9 Pro. With a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W charging technology, the Realme 9 Pro will last long and charge fast.
