In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Ranveer Singh’s hairstylist Darshan Yewalekar decodes the actor’s look in the upcoming movie Jayeshbhai Jordaar.

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar has created a major buzz across the country. In the film, scheduled to release on May 13, Ranveer plays a Gujarati man who will do anything to protect his unborn daughter. His character is truly an unconventional take on a hero and heroism. Well, his appearance in the film resonates with it.

His sleek moustache and side-parted hair are an extension of Jayesh’s personality and complement it really well. Indiatoday.in spoke to the behind-the-scenes hero who can be credited for Ranveer’s attention-grabbing hairstyle and moustache in the film Darshan Yewalekar.

Darshan is among the most popular mane men in Bollywood and has worked with an array of celebrities such as Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. As for Ranveer Singh, Darshan has been working with him for almost a decade now.

In an exclusive conversation, Darshan Yewalekar revealed how the Jayeshbhai Jordaar look was created for Ranveer and how the actor responded to it. And wait, there’s more. The eminent hairstylist has also revealed some hair care tips and tricks for you to swear by this summer.

Did Ranveer Singh’s moustache remind you of Charlie Chaplin? Well, the two moustaches do have a connection. Read on.

“Jayeshbhai Jordaar was a surprise film that came in between two films. As a routine, I went to the director for a narration to understand the character. After a long narration, I understood how Jayeshbhai is a different kind of ‘mard’. His character is very timid and gentle. He has modern ideas while he lives in a small town. He is soft and gentle yet heroic,” Darshan said.

“I thought of some ideas but I really wanted to focus on the moustache. I wanted to create a moustache that gives a very soft, gentle and timid feel and resonates with his humorous character,” he added.
