Randeep Hooda loses 18 kg for his next film Swatantra Veer Savarkar

Randeep Hooda has lost 18 kg for his upcoming movie, Swatantra Veer Savarkar. The actor has opened up about his physical transformation.

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda had left everyone stunned with his physical transformation for his film Sarabjit. The actor featured in the movie with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Now, the actor has shed many kilos for his upcoming movie, Swatantra Veer Savarkar. In a new interview, Randeep revealed that he has already lost 18 kg for his film. The actor, who will be playing the role of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, is currently undergoing transformation for the film.

In an interview with the Times Of India, Randeep Hooda revealed that he has already lost 18 kg for the film. He further said, "Yes, I am able to do these fluctuations with my body because I am inherently a sportsperson. I feel your body should be in an active space because that is what you are. Your body is the only instrument you own."

Earlier, talking to the same publication, Randeep had said, "In school, I used to do drama and ride horses, and today, I am doing the same thing [laughs]. Playing sports is a relief as I have an obsessive personality, so I need another passion to offset my passion for acting or cinema."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Randeep was last seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai with Salman Khan. Next, he will be seen in Unfair & Lovely with actress Ileana D'cruz. The film is likely to explore the nation's obsession with fair skin. Post that, he will be seen in the titular role in Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
