Actors Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on March 10. The couple shared the news on Instagram, revealing that their daughter arrived on a day that already held immense significance for the family. In a coincidence, the newborn shares her birthday with Randeep’s father, Ranbir Hooda, turning the day into a double celebration for the family.
They posted on Instagram with the caption, “Dada aur poti ne janamdin ki ghaniye badhai. Today, as I become a father, my appreciation for you has only grown deeper, Papa. And most importantly - Lin, thank you for making me a father and for bringing our little girl into this world. A little girl and a lifetime of love. (sic)”

Just a day before announcing the birth, on Monday, Randeep and Lin had shared a series of maternity photographs on social media. The images captured a quiet and intimate moment as the couple prepared to welcome their first child. The duo posed in a soft, serene setting.
Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram first met while working in plays, at veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah’s Motley theatre group. What began as a friendship gradually evolved into a romantic relationship. During the COVID-19 lockdown, the two began living together and made their relationship public on social media in 2022.
The couple got married on November 29, 2023, in Imphal, Manipur, in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony that honoured Lin’s cultural roots. The intimate ceremony followed local rituals and attire, after which the couple later hosted a reception in Mumbai attended by friends and colleagues from the film industry.
