Rajpal Yadav's lawyer accused businessman Madhav Gopal Agarwal of targeting the actor out of revenge in the Rs 9 crore loan case. At the same press conference, Rajpal revealed he has Rs 1200 crore worth of projects and 10 films lined up for the next seven years.
Actor-comedian Rajpal Yadav held a press conference in Mumbai on Saturday where his lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay, made fresh allegations in the ongoing Rs 9 crore loan case linked to his film Ata Pata Laapata. During the interaction, Rajpal also revealed that he has projects worth Rs 1200 crore lined up over the next seven years, along with 10 films in the pipeline.
During the press conference, Yadav’s lawyer levelled claims against Madhav Gopal Agarwal of M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, who had invested Rs 5 crore in Ata Pata Laapata. According to the legal team, the complainant’s actions were motivated by revenge rather than financial recovery.
"They had said in the press conference that they never intended to send Rajpal to jail. That is not true," the actor's lawyer said.
The lawyer further stated that Rajpal had attempted to resolve the issue legally in the past.
“In 2018, Rajpal had submitted a security amount in court, and he was also ready to attach his property papers, but Madhav Gopal Agarwal refused the same and chose to send him to jail. He is spreading lies and maligning Rajpal's image. His intention was never the money, it was to see Rajpal in jail.”
Amid the legal back-and-forth, Rajpal also spoke about his professional commitments and future plans. The actor revealed that he has secured multiple large-scale branding agreements apart from films.
