Delhiites were in for a pleasant surprise early Sunday morning as residents woke up to light rain and drizzle in various parts of the national capital as a sudden change in weather brought them respite from rising day temperatures that the city and adjoining areas had been witnessing during recent weeks.
Along with the drizzle, gusty winds, lightning and a slight chill in the air brought noticeable relief to residents. Many took to social media to share pictures from Connaught Place, Palam, Dwarka, and surrounding areas, capturing the sudden change in weather.
Motorists had to navigate wet streets in central, west, and southwest Delhi as rain arrived just before sunrise. Luckily, there were no reports of waterlogging or any rain-related incidents.

This system has been responsible for cooler temperatures and scattered showers over the plains of the region. Over the last 24 hours, Delhi recorded a drop of 2–3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures and 3–4 degrees in maximum temperatures.
Maximum temperatures ranged between 31 and 34 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures hovered somewhere around 17 to 19 degrees Celsius.

The court acknowledged the medical opinion that Rana will never recover and that the tubes that feed him and keep him alive are only prolonging his pain.
